Haines Her Way

Emily Haines is most notably, the lead singer of the Canadian band Metric. But her story is a layered one, being one of the contributors of multi-member band, Broken Social Scene, as well as lending vocals to a host of indie solo artists and projects.

As a follow up to her first solo album, Cut in Half and Also Double, the album Knives Don't Have Your Back is a must purchase. I've inserted what I call The Zellers video, "Doctor Blind", is currently getting air play on Much - a video that I couldn't take my eyes off in a weird way.

Her talent is weighty enough to warrant putting together the "Soft Skeleton", as Scott Minor from Sparklehorse, Justin Peroff of Broken Social Scene, Evan Cranley from Stars, Haines' Metric bandmate Jimmy Shaw and Todor Kobakov contributed to the album
